They're actually really easy to build if you even have the slightest background in electronics, they're so expensive because the servos are very high quality. You can build one w/ cheaper servos and the same controller, but it wouldn't move like the big boys.

I was gonna get one of these until I found out they cost over a THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! Guess I'm gonna have to put in a little overtime.
