Trixie (left) and Jill are two-week-old kittens, brought to Animal Rescue of Tracy (CA) after they had been accidentally been hit by a weedeater string. Both received large lacerations to their hindquarters. These have been surgically cleaned of dirt and dead tissue and stitched closed. They they are receiving antibiotics to prevent infection and are bottle-fed every 3 hours.

Fortunately, there are no signs of infection (so far) and both kittens are eating normal amounts of Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR). If there are no complications, they will eventually go to adoptive homes.
