@QuantumLocalPrototyp There are two explanations for the title; first, the nursery rhyme Oranges and Lemons and second the lyrics 'Oranges and Lemons' are from a song from the previous album Skylarking (in the song Ballad For A Rainy Day). The second explanation may actually have more truth to it, as 'Nonsuch' is mentioned on this album (and it would be the bands follow-up album in 1992), same with 'Apple Venus' on the Nonsuch album.

Great song, thanks for posting. I really like how this song was used in the end credits of one of the best comedic movies noone's ever heard of, "Welcome to Mooseport"; starring Ray Romano, Gene Hackman, and Maura Tierney. Very funny movie.
