I got to see these two organists do this live a few years ago, it's a really great idea.

Actually, that's a very recent concept. The organ was never intended to imitate an orchestra. Even Cavaille-Coll, famous for creating a "symphonic" style of organ, thought it silly to try to make an organ sound like an orchestra. This is a good transcription, though.

What and AHA moment! You have discovred the origninal purpose of the organ, for one person to create the sounds of an entire orchestra. This recording nicely illutrates that.

FANTASTIC!!!! I loved this composition ever since I was a child. GREAT idea of performing this on an organ - especially an Allen organ which can do the job brilliantly.

Enjoyed this video. Fun to watch the organists recreate the orchestra sounds on two organs. Brings back many childhood memories listening to LP. Organs sounded great!
