  • @BlackBeThyName Thanks, I have gotten quite a bit better at it since I last posted. I would probably benefit from some better pickups in general, but for now the harmonics are ok at least.

  • @Lydomina 1- heavy gauge strings

    2- extra thick pick

3- strike it with power! (obviously)

    4- lottttts of distortion

5- if you have equalizer set the "highs" to max level..

5- always use the BRIDGE pick up

if the problem persists after doing all of that.. try it on a different guitar with different pick-ups to see if your pick-ups are sending a weak signal.. you might then need to invest in some descent high-output pick-ups..

    hope that helps

  • Dammit. I can get it to sound, but it's no where near the volume of the the regular notes like in this video.

  • @TENGKUOAIDIL try to pinch the 5th fret on the a string .. but hold the fret with the index the middle and the ring finger so you can do a very hard vibrato :) and yo gonna make that ass harmonic scream! :D

  • i get the pinch harmonics sound but i didnt get it to scream loud

  • thansk dude for infomation and explanation about pinch harmonic now i know how to do it right ;)

  • Yeah guys it is hard but practise and practise and it's a great feeling when you get it,

  • I've always wanted to learn pinch harmonics but I didn't know that they were called "pinch harmonics".

Thanks to you, I learned it in like 5 minutes!

  • make sure you aren't playing between the bridge and the last pickup you have selected. or it wont work.

  • It all depends on how you're holding your pick for the riffing part. If it is COMPLETELY different than the way you're holding the pick then it will be hard to switch between the two. A good practice exercise would be playing the riff, holding the pick so it makes the harmonic sound and then only make a slight adjustment from that picking technique so it doesn't make a pinch harmonic. If this is comfortable for you then that's good. Basically, just play around with switching between the two!
