I was 16 when this came out..and living in New York..i wanted to tell my mom i was feeling the same way, but i knew she would never understand..i now live on my own and i'm proud to tell everyone that comes around me.i'm a proud lesbian..People are afraid of hat they don't know.knowledge is power and i suggest they should get some..i will forever love Ellen !!

More than 10 years later people still react like that woman from the audience and it's so sad, homosexuality shouldn't be a matter of discussion anymore but a fact, some people are gay, get over it!
