run in the Dewhurst came off of a pretty quick turnaround from his Middle Park run, and I think the 8f at Ascot was going to be a bridge too far for him. Even if Frankel hadn't been in the field. The only sub-par race Dream Ahead really has no viable excuses for was in the G1 Prix Maurice De Gheest at Deauville. The 6-1/2f on soft ground should've suited him right down to the ground. But he ended up well beaten by Moonlight Cloud that day.

For breeders that are looking to breed for speed, I'll be surprised if Dream Ahead doesn't prove to be a top stallion for just that in the near future. Retired at the end of his 3yr.old season having won 4 G1's at 6f in the Prix Morny, Middle Park Stakes, July Cup, and Sprint Cup. Plus 1 G1 at 7f in the G1 Prix De l' Foret. You can forgive his 2 sub-par runs in the G1 Dewhurst and G1 St James's Palace Stakes. In both races Dream Ahead ran into a pretty useful horse by the name of Frankel. His>>>

Excelebration won't win. I actually thing Bated Breath is better over a stiff 5f, he doesn't quite get home. Both Excelebration and Bated Breath have had hard races. DABIRSIM should have never lost to Dragon pulse on his first start back this year, the jockey made a right cock up. He never go into the French guineas (its a scrappy race). I think dabirsim has the cruising speed to win a bit like Dream Ahead last year.

10/1 SP, Dual G1 winner as 2yr @ 6Furlongs. Joint top rated 2yr old with Frankel. One previous run prior to this outing over a mile at Royal Ascot finished down the field to Frankel.

Dropped back to 6f for this and scoots in. Bookie's blunder of 2011 filled my boots! what a day
