This is 8mm amateur color, silent movie footage of a parade in downtown Detroit Michigan. Based on the cars and signs, it appears to have been taken in the early 1940s, probably shortly after Pearl Harbor.

The Kern's Clock is briefly shown.

  • Wow, you can pick-up on the somber mood of the people since it was still War Time; the old BOND building looks so new! This is way before I was born, but It's nice to see Detroit back in it's heyday. Thanks!
