this demonstration by bookshandmade.com book binder, Helene Lacelle, shows how easy and inexpensive it can be to make and bind your own books using this ancient Japanese binding method. This method can be applied to books of most thickness either side stabbing the edges or center stabbing the middle, using linen thread and a common needle to 'sew' the pages together both an easy, cheap and durable method superior to stapling in all ways.

  • Economical and eco friendly. This method of making books is both ancient and modern.

  • Good job, that's so very interesting.
