Bela Fleck & the Flecktones http://www.flecktones.com performed live with the Tuvan throat singing group Alash http://www.alashensemble.com at the Quick Center for the Arts, Fairfield, CT on December 12, 2008. They were performing Dyngyldai/What Child Is This? from their new CD "Jingle All the Way," which won a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental. Video by Sam Anderson.

  • No, the Flecktones do not always have guest artists. However, Alash will join the Flecktones again for 14 shows in December.

  • This is a blend of the English Christmas carol "What Child Is This?" and the traditional Tuvan song Dyngyldai.

    but i can enjoy this song so much..'music' the language that's only possible to unify diverences, bounding diversites..
