Vernie Yeung on the new ad: The original brief I got for the BRAVIA-drome advert was basically a gigantic and futuristic looking zoetrope sitting in the middle of a Victorian square experienced by real people. It wasnt hard to film, but there were a lot of preparations and calculations during the pre-production, it involved a lot of precise technology. However we had the most amazing crew which solved a lot of problems for me. I am sure it was much harder for them!
The Zoetrope isnt a new invention, it's been done in countless ways before, but creating it in such a large scale and shooting it in the context as a real public event was really exciting and
meant it has to be 100% technically accurate and real. It sounded almost impossible at some stages during the process, but we did it in the end, thank god.
