How to Adjust a Rear Derailleur - Mountain Bike (www.fezzari.com)

Simple front derailleur adjustment steps (demonstrated by Fezzari.com):
1.Shift rear derailleur to smallest gear
2.Shift front derailleur to largest gear
3.If it doesnt shift to the largest gear, turn barrel adjuster counterclockwise until it moves smoothly into gear
4.Turn barrel until the derailleur stops rubbing against the chain

they all need to be serviced regularily, and if the components on your bike worn out too much, you might need to replace some of them.
