  • I would not want to be the guy working on the power lines when you reconnect to the grid , I do not mean to sound rude or disrespectful but I would shut my gen set off so not to send power out to the lines ???

  • @northernboy68 You are not being rude and I want you to know that I cannot feedback on lines because the transfer switch will not allow me to. It is a make or break switch I got from the power company that is designed for this situation. I have done it all to code and feel confident that no one will get hurt.

  • Could you possibly put up a 'guide' with a list of tips and such for creating your own wood gas generator?

I am interested in that meter device that you have pluggen in on the extension cord which shows volts and Frequency in Hertz. Where is it from and what does one cost?

  • ok so you got like THE HOOK UP on that flanged ss tubing or do u have to buy all that stuff at retail?,cause that is by far beyond the likes of which ive seen in quality not to mention CLEEEEAAAAANN!!!i admire your work much like my own when i have the budget to do it overkill rite if i possibley can,by the way ,that water filtration unit i got from u guys back in oct for conference , does it filter flouride and or do u have flouride filters?

  • simply genious i want that knowledge!!! in german pls :-)

  • @BornRandy62 The initial startup cost will be high but since I plan on selling power back it will pay for itself in the long run. I have been to the journey to forever website before but thanks for the reminder because I had forgotten about it.

  • @BornRandy62 I know hydrogen will use a lot of electricity but I plan on producing way more electricity with wind and solar than I will ever be able to use and sell most of it back to the power grid. I just think hydrogen will be a better solution than current battery technology in vehicles although that will probably change in the not to distant future. But even then batteries do wear out and when SHTF they will be harder to get and I doubt I would be able to produce them myself

  • @KevinDR1987 intial large cost equipment investment. bio diesel from vegetable or animal oils requires lye and ethanol or methanol. Both of those are possible to make yourself with minimal investments. And the plus to biodiesel is that the waste byproduct is glycerin with lye content. check out journey to forever (no spaces) dot org for loads of free info about biofuels.

  • @KevinDR1987 algae is still in the concept stage. no one at all is producing ethanol from algae in quantities large enough to test results. it is one of those things that sounds great on paper but hasnt gone further that lab test tubes and small scale experiments. Hydrogen requires a large amount of electricty to produce from a water source. Ethanol can be made out of pretty much anything that contains starch or sugars. Solar and wind electrical generation is passive and achievable with a (cont

  • @BornRandy62 That's good to know. I'm looking into alge, electricity, used cooking oil turned into biofuel, hydrogen, and now woodgas as alternative means of powering my vehicles. Still not sure which way is the best to go

  • Inspirational, Thank-you!

  • @KevinDR1987 yes it is possible to store it in a pressure container but it requires a compressor that can handle flammable gas. Compressors used to refill propane tanks would work. a typical air compressor would self destruct because the flammable gas would wash the cylinder wall lubrication down. There is also a possibility of sparks and unintended ignition with an unrated compressor.
