Yes Linda Hope was adpoted of course there is no shame in that but at the same time it dosent need to be bought up every second. Adoption means it s YOUR CHILD . Since most adoption were pretty private back then it s possable he and his wife adopted babies / childern of realitives, I dont know if they did but it s possable. At lest they were loved and wanted and Mr Hope seemed to be a proud papa. And not ONE of the 4 has written a bad word about either parent

@lostvocals4 It's an interesting story and thanks for sharing. But it seems that Mr. Cerf had gotten his facts mixed up. It seems that he combined memories from about two or three different appearances of Bob Hope because although the part about naming several old comedians and Zeppo Marx is in this one, it does not have Mr. Cerf asking the first question, nor does it have Hope being cut off and unable to name the film, or storming off. Any idea which other appearance(s) Cerf was conflating?
