  • No Micheal Anthony, no Van halen.

  • Yes, they do sound like crap here. They also got paid 1 million dollars for this one gig! They were on a much needed break when this gig happened and were not concert shape. All their roadies, techs and stage crew were on vacation. Dave was on vacation in South America when he was asked to play this gig. Reportedly, he said, "I wouldn't miss it for a million dollars". They used roadies from other bands for this show.

  • What does it matter drunk or not??Touring life can be a bitch,,if u wanna listen to a flawless track put on the album,,U rest enjoy and bottoms up!!!!

Diamond Dave and Eddie u rock

  • No way in the world Eddie could intervene and save DLR from himself. Just listen to how well he sings!!! He should have put the microphone up to his asshole and farted the lyrics.

  • @MrSocal71 As I was at this show also, I can say that Eddie didn't save the show. But he tried. Triumph, and the Scorps rocked! 'Cuz they were serious.

  • DLR sucks. Eddie rocks. Michael Anthony awesome vocals! Alex, classic and distinct.

  • @bam6684 They were paid a million, which at the time was the highest for a show. Need to check your record book.

  • Damn what Van Halen did for music is more profound then most you you people know read the book and then make a comment

  • Make that 55,000 dollars a minute . 2.3 million It's in the record book ...Eddie ruled the world....DLR sucked.................

  • @drjhkdc yup

  • I was at that concert he sucked ass cause he was drunk off his ass and half the show was Eddie tearing it up and pretty much saving the show as usual

  • Wow. What a bag o' douche. I've never heard them sound so bad. I guess it's a good thing Roth was a looker back then because he sure sounded like dead skunk ass.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone ---- Because your name isn't Diamond Lee Roth

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone cause beef kicks the shit out of chicken ,duh

  • $13,000 per minute for this gig. Why does that KFC Assistant Manager Training Program look shittier all of the time?

  • They were probably too wasted to have a great show, but I didn't care...It was my first time to see them....I thought they were great!! It was the wildest thing I'd ever seen!!

  • This is how VH always sounded when I went to see them from Diver Down to 1984. They were better last year when Dave toured with them..

  • @drjhkdc: hell yeah!

  • @drjhkdc I was there and they really were fucking horrible sounding. They made up for it on their 84' tour though. They were all kinds of messed up this night but the crowd was so electric it didn't really matter.

  • they sounded fucking horrible

  • I love all the comments about how they were wasted and sounded like shit. All I have to say is IT DOESN'T GET ANY MORE ROCK AND ROLL THAT THIS!!!!!! This is what rock and roll was all about!!!!!

  • *~=V,H=~* earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest-paid single appearance of a band: $1.5 million for a 90-minute set at the 1983 US Festival.

  • @GuitarMaster10011 Missing Persons hands down best preformance.
