Fresno, CA (Sept. 30, 2010) -- Signature Flight Support Corporation has entered into an agreement with McDonald Aviation to manage its new facility at Fresno Yosemite International Airport.
The agreement was announced Wednesday evening at a cocktail reception at the facility that now operates under the Signature Flight Support brand. McDonald Aviation acquired the property in April, and the entire building was remodeled, from the landscaping to the hangar floor. McDonald Aviation owner David McDonald, former CEO of Pelco, always wanted his business to be run "just like a Signature," which is the biggest fixed-base operation and distribution network for business aviation services in the world.
"There is no comparison from Signature's culture and Signature's operations worldwide and to any of their competitors," McDonald said.
Fresno's new Signature Flight Support is the company's 103rd location, with operations in the United States, Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. Fresno's Signature offers a 6,100 square foot executive terminal with a passenger lounge, crew lounge, two sleep rooms and an executive conference room. For customers wanting a snack, fresh popcorn, Starbucks coffee and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies are available. Lounges hold high definition televisions and video libraries, and crews can take advantage of a computer area where they can check the weather, file flight plans and access the Internet.
