@stealthgerm Gold will back our currency - unlike the worthless, unbacked Federal green paper. The South has a large population, tons of industry and could easily thrive without the burdensome regulations, taxations and wars imposed on it by the US Empire. The south would ideally trade freely with all the nations of the world (unlike the US) and maintain a policy of armed neutrality (like Switzerland).
