i just bought this film on dvd two days ago, after MONTHS of searching, and as cliche as it sounds, it changed my life. it gave me a profound understanding of loneliness, alienation, and looking for comfort in a somewhat other dimension (in this case, Japan). the last film i saw that left me awestruck before this one was Ed Wood, another brilliant and underrated classic

Simply awesome...the karaoke scene is priceless,and finally a different end in a love story! scarlett johansson is beautiful and bill is simply fantastic!
all "made" in tokyo one of the beautiful city in my opinion!

BEST FILM IN THE WORLD sooooooo fantastic, you aint lived if you havent seen it....you really havent. So many people have criticized it, its so unfair. I think a lot of people don't have enough brain cells to cope with the fact that there's no violence, no sex no bad language. I mean in truth its not really about anything but its soo good. I think this is scarlett johanssons best film personally.

this movie is my all time fav .. very easy to relate for people that feel completely lost .. not just geographically too ... very awesome movie
