Some scepticism arose about my .40 running on 5% ether based fuel so I give it a go with the smaller of the lot, the .15, with the idea in mind that the smaller engines generally like more ether.
The .15 runs just fine on 5% ether fuel but I had trouble starting it. But note the can of John Deere quickstart beside my prime bottle. I spiked the 5% mix with another 50% of ether to use as a special prime formula. That did it, the engine lit off right away. I still had to over compress a quarter turn to start. As the engine warmed up, I backed off and got a solid, steady run. Idle and transition was somewhat better than the .40 on this 5% mix. Next up is the Norvel .074.
how much hotter does it run ???
