  • Jerry has it all...Tone , chops , rhythm , soul ! Arguably the greatest sax player ! !

  • Wonderfull!!!!

  • @decus69 This is a metal New York tone master that he refaced to about a 7* and has used exclusively before he started playing rubber Links.

  • This cat is the business,it's all there the whole history of jazz the lot.Notice that this cat plays as a total unit at all times. It is simply a band .A rare quality .You don't get much Better than t.he BergonZ..

I once had the pleasure of telling that, that the band was a unit at all times,. through soloing.

He is a really nice guy too and is willing to give you a few moments of his time,

If anyone is moving things forward hear it is, Thanks for posting.

  • Great!!

  • Funny! He looks like a mafia boss and talks like a philosophy professor in Oxford. And plays like, well, we know how you play, Jerry, dont we?

  • Ive never seen Jerry with that mouthpiece.Anyone know what it is? he sounds great on it.

  • Wonderfull!!!!!

  • Bergonzi is unique !! A very jazz masters. Bergonzi is a summa and a sinthesys of t.sax modern tradition from Rollins (rhythm), Coltrane (Intensity), Henderson (obliquity and harmony) and also something of Shorter. Bergonzi don't copy any of them because he have his sound and stile. Brecker don't have his intensity and Potter is something that is similar to Bergonzi limited to the surface of his style (sound mecanique).
