A somewhat unusual sight - 441 running by Casselman station at noon. September 27, 2008.

Note AFCX ballast cars, which are delivering stone to work sites along the line. VIA is installing a signaled siding near Carlsbad Springs, and performing other major work (including some rail replacement) between Moose Creek and Coteau.

  • Is there a roofless woodchip car (converted from a double door boxcar)in the middle of this train? It's at the 43 second mark, just after the tank cars. Does somebody on the OCR load or receive woodchips?

    Nice video.

  • It is IATR 5644, which I am told is a standard 60' hi-cube boxcar.
