You know whats funny? So many people think any hit where the head moves or there's a concussion is a headshot.
A. Whiplash, ever heard of it?
B. Incidental contact isn't the hitters fault.
C. Heads hitting the ice contributes a lot to concussions, that's an unyielding, hard surface.
The NHL is going a bit overboard. Though I'm glad to see a greater degree of consistency (until the Sutton suspension/Wolski non-suspension), kids should still be taught to keep their heads up.

@NHLArchive which is bullshit. hitting too hard? its hockey its a contact sport if you get a penalty for hitting someone thats basically trying to take out hitting. its a contact sport people get hit people get hurt the people who love the game play even knowing the risks

@TheBaldwinproduction i hope not, even under the new rules none of these should count. Although they probably will soon, the nhl is soon to enact a new rule in which you an be suspended for hitting too hard.
