I find that lift isn't the best. I agree with eieckro (i think) Turn the low bar forward (point tire at sky) cup it with your hands and dead lift it from a squat. Less chance of it scooting out from under you on gravel or going over the top or having it fall on you if you slip.
I find it easier to do as well. But that's a bit physiology determined

good lift. Try both hands on the bottom handle bar. I find that helps
