lol, not really. Detailers seem to say "my way" and thats it. They dont want to learn, they know it all already. Well, its like everything else in life. You're always learning.
Hehehe.. Indeed brushes make more sense for areas that are hard to reach. You certainly are aware of tricks of the trade ;) I truely hope every detailer was as strict as you.
perhaps, I have yet to find somewhere, or someone in this area with such a brush. I mean obviously if you put a hand held mit on a stick. About the same thing. lol. And brushes get into those damn cracks when doing hummers or trucks or something with lots of cracks. So, yeh. But this car, meh... just as quick by hand. And if your doing a full detail, and nobody is watching, who cares if minor scratches appear. You'll be remouving them anyway. So, to each his own i guess.
Possibly, but would you consider a hand held wash mitt to be THAT much better in terms of friction with the paint? I hear boars hair brush is just as gentle, if not more than a

meh, if its waxed well, good nice smooth soap, clean brush, top down appraoch, rinsing brush... perhaps. but still... long-term. BAD

I thought so too. If he is using a high quality and very soft brush, it might not have a great potential for scratching.
