I'll Be Here - A Seattle Mariners Fan's Promise

Dedicated to all the Seattle Mariners fans who support the team through thick and thin...mostly thin.

A friend stopped by and asked me if I'd make it very clear
He wanted to know if I was rooting for the Mariners this year
I thought about the question and in my proudest voice I said
I never really thought that I ever had a choice

You see, I have been an M's fan since the day they took the field
Though it seems we may have gotten the short end of the deal
But I will never waiver and I know one thing is true
I'm gonna be here when they win it all, so my advice to you is

Jump aboard and come along, there's room for everyone
You don't want to be left behind when this team makes its run
I'll be here like every year and the M's will be my team
Other fans may come and go, but that's not gonna be me, no
I'll be here

I've seen 'em lose a hundred, like a broken down machine
Saw 'em stay alive in '95, win a hundred and sixteen
But every year is different, that's why they play the games
I'll spend my life believing they're gonna win someday

So jump aboard and come along, there's room for everyone
