Natural man, what does it refer to? Is it the unregenerate, or is the the carnal Christians walking as though they belong to the world, rather then the father in heaven?

  • At 4:15 & 4:30 you proved our argument, these babes are carnal they act like the unregenerate, they act like the natural man, and what does the natural man look like, the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them. At this point in the video you yourself made a distinction between the carnal and the natural man, the carnal man has a hard time with the spiritual, the natural man has nothing spiritual.

  • @1689Baptist If you are in Christ, as the text say's in Chapter 3, then you have the Holy Spirit... This means you have been regenerated. These born again Christians were acting like the unregenerate. The text applies to spiritual understanding in the carnal regenerated Christians.

    God Bless

  • 6) So I do believe that 1 Corinthians 2:14 also applies to the unregenerate man, but that’s just my opinion, I guess. I am curious however, to know which passage in Acts 16 you were thinking of when you made the comment about salvation being synergistic. Would you mind explaining? I’m not sure I understand. :) Sory about the wordy comments.

  • @vekl Acts 16:30–31 (YLT) — 30 and having brought them forth, said, ‘Sirs, what must I do—that I may be saved?’31 and they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved—thou and thy house;’

Blessings in Christ. I pray that this is helpful..

  • @vekl I believe many applications can be made from a text, but there is only one proper interpretation. That interpretation is based on the who, why, when, and for what it was written. A text that can mean anything means nothing. In short there is a reason for writing the letter, knowing that purpose and keeping within context is key..

    Blessings...

  • @MODERATECALVINISM well said!

  • @fre4409 John 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him…

That is Prevenient Grace. God calls the sinner but he is not regenerated until he comes to faith in Jesus Christ.

Rom 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Calvinism on the other hand teaches that regeneration precedes faith.

  • @MODERATECALVINISM But I see that this is kind of beside the point of your video. You're asking which comes first: regeneration or belief. I guess I don't really see it as one or the other. The "receiving of belief" is the regeneration, isn't it?

    Anyway, thanks for your thoughts....

  • @MODERATECALVINISM No, he's right. The carnal Christians are acting like the unregenerate. There is a small amount of the spiritual in them, and that's why they can accept the milk. Natural man can't even receive the milk. Unless you try to argue that the "milk" actually isn't something spiritual. In which case I guess I would just have to disagree. Also, haven't you basically eliminated the category of unregenerate altogether by saying that natural man and carnal Christians are the same?

  • @IDH77 I did not bring up Calvinism or Total Depravity. So your "a-priori' comment is not relevant. What is prevenient grace? Once that is defined explain to me how it applies to Eph 1:13.

  • @fre4409 You don’t see Prevenient Grace most probably because you have an a-priori idea of what the Bible actually says.

Eph 1:13 flatly denies regeneration BEFORE faith which in turn denies Total Depravity.

Calvinism is quite simply laid upon the foundation of eisegesis!

  • @IDH77 I do not see prevenient grace in this passage (Eph 1:13). What i see is a person "hearing" the gospel and turning to Jesus in true repentance and faith. Prevenient grace is read into the bible rather than exegeted from it.

  • @MODERATECALVINISM were can i get this program?

  • SEA WASTE!
