is there a way to heal/get more staves in this chapter while arena abusing?

Nope, there isn't a vendor.

So what do you recommend if I really need to heal up my units when Arena abusing?

If you REALLY need to arena abuse, you can have the unit sit on the throne or a fort to recover a little hp every turn. Besides that there's nothing you can do if you run out of staves

Yes it is a typo, you'll find some more as the game progresses. I think the people who created the translation patch really wanted to get it out there quick, so there are a few typos.

You gotta love that TWANG! noise when a unit does no damage to you. But it is also something to hate if you can't hurt them at all.
