Two phenomena are seen here, Von Karman Vortex Streets in the lee of the Canary Islands and a Gravity Wave heading from the West African coast towards the Cape Verde Islands

  • was this caused by the moon acting on the sea?

    cough cough at what? scientists have spent bare loads to cash to research gravity and one of the experiments is to find wave discrepencys caused by the force. gravitons may be equally as true due to wave-particle duality, and I wouldn't be suprised if its both.
