Sinn Fein are an emerging force in politics. You've learned your lessons quickly, the next five years in opposition in the south will stand to you. You have tough young candidates that have experience of their first general election... the next general election will show a breakthrough
Lower the first time voter age to 16. The kids will be in school and can be monitored and coaxed by teachers to take part in the voting process. As part of a civil studies course it would be good way to eduacate young voters to take part
The suicide issue is something I have some familiarity with, I don't doubt your sincerity but this is a major failing of all parties: eg Little johnny spent four hours in an A&E in Cork, Grandma Mary was on a hospital trolley... What'll change in 5 years?
When every politician in the country talks about a personal experience they've had, young people get fed up. Your not reaching us. Its a case of crying wolf. Nothing changes. Actions speak louder than words
Second part about corruption? Hmmm, a bit waffley. Your telling young voters what they already know. What incentive are you giving them to vote Sinn Fein? I don't see it. If your going to target the first time voter, gather information on them.
Surely you have teachers in schools that are Sinn Fein activists. They may run social studies classes in secondary schools. They could hand out a standard questionnaire... Every party is anti-corruption, your not telling us anything different
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Shame Fein only decided to abandon the armed struggle when the loyalist paramilitaries stepped up their murder rate of catholics.
