Forever joick/Jick story Ep 2

Joe and Nick were walking to school, Joe had been trying to start a conversation but was having little to none luck succeeding. Nick was adamant that he remain silent, he did not want a friendship, but he did have to admit; Joe seemed different. Usually, people stop hassling him to talk within a few minutes, where as Joe had been trying for ten and was still going strong, not yet ready to give up.

"Why won't you talk to me? Am I not conversation worthy?"
"I just don't want to talk." Nick spoke barely audible. It had been his first word to the consistent boy beside him. Although he had tried to remain silent, Joe's constant nagging had got the better of him.
"How old are you?" Joe asked. Nick rolled his eyes, this kid just doesn't stop.
"15." Nick answered dryly. He was not one to participate in conversation.
"Ha! I got you to talk. I'm 17." Joe smiled to himself, proud of his small victory.
Nick sighed, Joe was defiantly different; he was something else.

"Well, this is your locker." Joe pointed to the given locker; Nick typed in the code and opened the door to find the locker was not empty. Inside was a leaflet promoting the school activities, his schedule and a few other brochures promoting extra classes and after school clubs.

Nick looked up noticing Joe had not yet walked away.
"Can I help you?" Nick spoke; he was becoming annoyed with Joe's company.
"Nope, but I can help you. We have the same class, I'll walk with you." Joe smiled, not yet grasping the obvious hints Nick was providing him with.

Nick clenched his fist and grinded his jaw to prevent him from saying something he would later regret. Joe closed Nicks locker for him and grabbed him by the shoulder, steering him towards their first class; English.

"Ah, you must be Nicholas Lucas. You may share a desk with Joe." The teacher spoke after noticing his new pupil.
Nick inwardly growled; this day just gets better and better.
