Why is it so easy for politicians to disguise themselves as good people? Do you honestly know of an honest politician or lawyer? Think hard. I'd say we need something akin a huge revolution to change things. Politicians are like actors and con men--always on the lookout for a shmoe to con. Grow up people. You helped them get in.

Christine Quinn has had an easy time disguising herself as good (as a hero, in fact) because New Yorkers see her pumping her fists in the air at gay marriage rallies - not the corruption, slush fund scandal, term limits fiasco, betrayal of the LGBT community, her horrendous voting record on human and animal rights, the back room deals stripping New Yorkers of civil liberties, etc. Yes - a revolution would be nice. In the meantime, we need to get crooks like Christine Quinn out of office.

Great video, Don. I'm not gay, and had no idea that she was, but I had also lost respect for her. I think LGBT issues should matter to anyone truly interested in human rights. I think that, regardless of sexual orientation, there are plenty of self-interested, overly ambitious people out there. I have always seen her as one: she seems to unite with whomever can enhance her standing and future prospects, be it Joel Klein, Bloomberg, etc. It's a shame. Advertisements might help. Issue of water sprinklers in pet shops, the danger to workers and building is at danger as well that Quinn didn't consider in he decision when she banned the system, is just one of many items that should be challanged publicly . comment by George Insdorf
