Freedom Rally in Tulare, CA covered by KMPH FOX 26 - 7/4/09

Taxpayers sounded off about freedom on the 4th of July in Tulare.

The main message at Saturday's tea party, "Get government out of our lives".

A few thousand people spent their fourth sounding the drum for independence.

Tulare was just one of more than 600 scheduled tea parties across the country this weekend.

Tea stands for taxed enough already.

Organizers say the tea parties are composed of people from different party affiliations and independents.

They hope to built political clout to persuade elected officials to adhere to their principles and hold them accountable when they don't.
