Here is a video outlining a winter hike on Mt. Sopris, located in Colorado's beautiful Elk Mountains. Aron Ralston and I headed up the Northeast ridge of the peak in late December 2004. We got to around 12,500 feet before heading back down via the bowl on the north face.

I love that Mtn - in High School it was my daily view. We lost one of our favorite teachers on the N. Side on a XC Ski trip. The entire Roaring Fork Valley is one of the prettyest places in the US to live IMHO.

Wow i was just there in july 4th from dallas texas to visit my cousin in carbondale to go to 4th of july parade in aspen but yeah im going again in november and hopefully i will see snow! that would be amazing.
