how did they get the archon to tank 20k dps with tht fit in eft it only goes to about 12k :s

@benso99 Don't forget the role of Command Ships. You need to make a Damnation in EFT (including mindlink for the pilot) and add that in EFT's gang options. Then you also need a combat booster. That'll take you from the 12416 you have now to the 20k region. And T3 can give even bigger bonuses than Damnation.
