May I say that the 2012 date is a "pop culture date". According to the foremost researcher of the Mayan Calendar Carl Calleman (google him) The end of the Mayan calendar will actually be the 28th October 2011 which will be the end of the 9 waves of consciousness. This date is very interesting as it will also be the last day of the Jewish year 5571. The 9th wave is the wave of Unity consciousness. It is notable how many old structures which no longer serve us are now crumbling in our world. love

One thing that has always intrigued me is the similarity both in shape and perimeter dimensions of the Mayan pyramids vs. the Egyptian pyramids. Perhaps it means nothing--perhaps it does. There is also the KT event which ocurred approx. 65 million years ago on the edge of the Yucatan penisula that exterminated +95% of all life on earth. Now that I would think HAS to be significant.
