Get the E-620. You're going to love the Swivel lcd display. The E-620 is also nicer looking and more compact than the d-5000.

I'd go for the E-620, the ergonomics of it is just outstanding and i'd say it is a camera you could live with for a longer period of time than the Nikon. D5000 probarbly has superior low-light capabilities but overall I'd say that the E-620 is a far better camera. Good luck.
