Eugene Ysaye composed his 6 violin sonatas in 1924 in the honour of J. S. Bach and after his wife's death and dedicated to his contemporaries. The first was dedicated to a Hungarian violinist, Joseph Szigeti and now performed by a major Hungarian talent, Kristof Barati. Paris, 2002.

  • what a shitty audience

  • Замечательный музыкант. Вдохновенный.

  • damn, this person is so good... i listened to all the movements and... damn he is really good... i have been playing bach violin sonata no.2 BWV 1015 and i can't nail it... (sigh)... i'm glad i listened to this recording... it makes me push myself to do better...

  • Fantastic Intonation!!!

  • This piece sounds and looks hellishly difficult, yet Mr. Barati played it like it was nothing...Like he were eating a stone sandwich with drills for teeth, then asking for seconds. This guy is simply brilliant!

  • Eugene Ysaye's 6 sonatas are on a whole other level than Bach. It's almost like a mix of Bach and Paganini and difficult.

  • trop rubato....

  • Nice job!

  • Woh
