  • Can you people in Vancouver not shut your fucking mouth during this..........

  • This version is lame but why bother doing a good job for those drunken assholes at the Commodore? Great venue but the patrons are the rudest jerks ever.

  • Randy! Thank you for all the GREAT music, guitar playing and sheer musicianship you've supplied us music lovers with over the years! This song brought tears to my eyes, that's not bad considering I'm a 51 y.o. guy from Sweden and far from brought up in a Prairie Town. But the lyrics spoke to me anyway. I had this song on CD once, thank you for putting this version on YT. /Mats

  • @Scottosan Exactly! And this looks more like a 2002 performance because RB looks older now and saying it was done in 2009 is pushing it! Still great though!

  • One thing I know for shure is that it takes a lot of concentration to perform a song in these conditions bravo Randy nice job even though the crowd was with no respect

  • I love that other version here on YouTube with Neil and Margo Timmins. This one's great too.

I first heard this tune on "Randy's Vinyl Tap" on CBC radio. I looked it up here because I thought he said that Lynda Ronstadt and James Taylor did the backing vocals.

Is there any truth to that, or did I mis-hear?

  • @gertbacktracks

Yeah! He did not look very impressed! Maybe a better response in the 'Peg?

  • @reece5412 EXACTLY what a bunch of idiots...on the other side I'm quite pleased that it happens not only to me on my concerts....sometimes I want to throw my axe into the noisy crowd... anyway it took nearly 5 minutes for Randy to silence more or less this Vancouver crowd...in my opionion he butchered this song because he was disgusted about the whole thing.

  • @reece5412

Oh, I agree. I might not have been so forthright, but it was very rude with all the noise going on during this recording. Not a lot of respect there! By the way - one of the best version i have heard of this tune.

  • What a beautiful song-thanks from me too!
