I think you guys know this but if you don't, the judge forces you to stand, not for respect but if you stand you recognize his authority, if you don't stand he has no authority over you.

@robinhoodtn1 Unless you have an attorney you can trust (out of town/state) or KNOW the law, you won't win in court. Cops, prosecutors, county attorneys, public defenders, and judges all work for the state. You don't. Iy's a private club and you're NOT a member. Cops don't know jack about law. Traffic tickets are illegal! Look up Marc Stevans here on Y T. Listen to everything he says for good insight.

In order to win there are sacrifices you have to be prepared to make. Either know the law or hire an "out of the area lawyer" to defend you. Be prepared to go to jail for 24-48 hrs. and be ready to take your case to the next higher court. Local law enforcement people are thugs. Traffic (no victim) tickets are illegal and are beat in court daily. Cops (most of then) don't know a thing about law. Go on Y T and check out Marc Stevens (lawyer) for the total picture. Best of luck 2U!!

SEPT 01-2011 It has been announced that the First Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO VIDEO TAPE POLICE IN PUBLIC WHILE ON DUTY!!!! Law enforcement must endure being filmed by ANYONE choosing to do so while in public places or anywhere privacey cannot be expected. This is not a new law. It is a ruling on an existing law that has been continuously violated by law enforcement everywhere.
