One of the reasons Rammstein didn't make it big till they were in their 30s is because until 1991 East germany (where they come from) was a communist state under the control of the USSR and they weren't able to listen to much western music - never mind allowed to play the music they wanted to play in public.
They weren't able to reach an audience till after that time.
Richard (guitar on the right) actually risked his life escaping over the Berlin Wall.

Dude, look at Judas Priest, theyre members are in their 50's, cept the drummer who's 46 and guitarist who's 60, and they're STILL one of the best metal performance, so i would be damned if age ment something...
