The played two kind of Rubabs, one Rubabs name is Badakhshani Rubab and the another one's Tanbur. And the Tajiks are not playing such kind of instrunent, Its played only in Pamir....!

From the perception of a complete outsider I must say I'm completely immersed in this style of music. Few outsiders I'm sure really understand the beauty in such music. It's extremely mournful in nature and it really touches me. Is there is special name for Tajik rubab? I notice the sound and looks are different from the ones found more commonly in Afghanistan.
