  • Coleman, you do realize Cunard is not a sperate entity. You know that Cunard is managed and directed by Princess Cruises? The Vicky was designed by Princess designers. Cunard's CEO Carol Marlow reports to Princess's President. Cunard, the Icky and the new QE are Princess Cruises creations! You know the Vicky's plastic decks are the result of running out of money. Carol Marlow says it was politically correct..yet all Carnival brands have teak decks. It's a company who passes a buck to make a buck

  • I don't hate the industry at all. What I don't like is the extreme level of repitition w/in Carnival while each brand's respective PR departments herald how luxurious and unique they are. Here's a preview..the new QE will be the Eurodam with a red stack. She'll mirror, with minor modifications the interior of the Icky. Carnival has so much at their disposal and consistently sail by using recycled and consolidated ideas while relying on PR to seperate one brand from the other.

  • You really seem to despise the cruise industry! What do you really like??? Do tell and stop having a whine and a whing at everything. Regards......

  • Henry Ford used to say "You can have any color you want as long as it is black". At Carnival you can have any hull you want as long as it is a Vista!

Carnival has given it's Costa subsidary an exact copy of the Icky Vicky and named it the Costa Delisiousco or something equally as tacky which Carnival has cornered the market on.

Now you can enjoy 2 tacky, uninspiring clones!

  • i think that ship is so nice. fine it looks just like the 4 holland america ships (original vista class ships) and the arcadia but it is much different and has far more luxury to offer. people need to stop critasizing holidays and cruise liners. not every 1 is a critic!

  • Interesting posting this afternoon on another board. A recent passenger was told "the Queen Victoria is the most expensive altered Vista Hull design ever. By the time it came to the decking the budgets were depleted. Carnival built the Victoria on a versy strict budget and it had to be done". Of course the plastic decking is already showing wear and discoloration. It's baffling how Carnival thinks this sort of corner cutting benefits the brand. Approaching from the cheap ALWAYS catches up w/you.

  • Your right .Cunard are a Ocean liner company not a shitty Cruise company .Shes nothing special .Shes just a clone of the Arcadia but painted different .

  • The Icky Vicky is probably the most boring new cruise ship. Her exterior is a mix of an old design prostituted byCarnival in all their brands. The interior is a mix of elements seen before and dated ammenities that add to Carnival's bottom line. The additions Carol Marlow had to make her an "ocean liner" offer nothing to her appearence. Like a house who's the victim of a bad addition. A vessel one sees then quickly forgets...a real disappointment.

  • We were in Cabin 8017 on the starboard side waving furiously, but we look very tiny in this video. Many thanks for posting.

  • What a fabulous Liner
