From the biennial 3-day rocket launch hosted by MDRA, the weather was pretty good by Eastern Shore standards. Some cool flights and a great time as always. The Road Kill Cafe chicken cannot be beat!
@TIRrocketry Yea, that's the 115mm 15kns motor. I didn't use the RC stuff that time, it was an RDAS and a old but reliable Flight Control Systems (I date myself) baro unit. Next time I'll square away that apogee drogue tangle:)
@vahpr Hey, if it works, put it to use! What did that T-smoke fly on? Judging by how much motor was hanging out the back, I'd say just about the right amount of motor was used ;) It almost looks like a hybrid when it takes off.
@TIRrocketry It was a Contrail M something or other but clearly that's a case of wishful thinking as the altitude equated to about 2100ns. Amazing they call it an M....That was my first and last hybrid:)
Jerry, is that a 4.5 inch case you loaded into your Iris? Really nice flight. Did you use the radio based ejection system again?
