  • yes it is Herman Li signature. You can see the signature grip at the body

  • Too much talking; not enough actually playing and showing.

  • yeah great video man.

If anyones interested, this is based on the frank gamble monster licks and speed picking video/ book tutorial

  • loads of beautiful wee moveable melodic patterns can be derived from these shapes :)

and with devotion, cranked up to fret melting tempo, just like Frank....

    thanks from Scotland!

  • great lesson! i like it :) my only advice maybe you could put the 'final product'-normal speed-lick of the matter on the beginning of the video, so the audience will get the general idea of the lick :) still, nice lesson :)

  • This is more commonly called economy picking, little sweeps over 2 or 3 strings with lots of changes in pick direction as you play through a scale form. Sweep picking as a technique generally keeps the pick flow longer, say through 4, 5 or 6 string arpeggios with far less changes in pick direction. Good videos in general though, well done!

  • You know you've mastered it if you can fluently play frank gambales "Monster Lick"

  • Tosin Abasi recommended Frank and said he was responsible for him taking a leap forward

  • I thought "Sweep Picking" was for 1 note per string shapes.
