thats interesting that what appears to be a pvc pipe dosnt melt in the presence of the flame, however i would guess that since the propane needs the time to combine in correct proportions with the air that the physical combustion takes place far enough above the tube that it doesn't end up also burning.

how hot dose the actual tube get after an average length song?

Neat. However the low pressure near the lower right of the video frame is due to gas pressure dropping as function of the distance from the inlet. Pro tip: a manifold would achieve laminar flow.

It's opus 67, not 21. Opus 21 is symphony no 1, this is symphony no 5 :P

One way would be to eliminate the rubber sheet and mount the speaker directly to the end of the pipe. As long as it's a good fit and the seal is airtight, it'll transmit the sound waves much more efficiently.

Have you thought about adding a fan to regulate the gas flow?

I love rubens tubes and am looking into ideas on how to improve the sensitivity.
