How do you feel about "book learning" in contrast to a more socratic and social methods of learning? I think that learning through reading can seem very elucidating but when talking to others, I realize how esoteric independent learning is when what you've interpreted is one way and what someone else interpreted is the same but expressed very differently.

You look similar to Brad Pitt.

I am working on an Ebook that offers step by step guides on how to become your own teacher :) consider it my big project! im very excited about it. I have the idea to add a section on cognitive therapy techniques because learning those techniques has significantly helped open my mind & most importantly, has taught me how to handle my emotional mind :) If your interested in chatting sometime, Id love to talk to you! We can share our experience, and maybe even form an awesome friendship. ^^

Hey man, good going. I like what you're doing. I'm an autodidact myself and started this year because I'm consistently busy with my job, which prevents me really from going to college. So yup. I'm studying linguistics, science, history, (creative) writing, english, math, government, and business/entrepreneurship. Side courses are philosophy, debate, nature survival, neuroscience, geography, and a few others. The best of luck and blessings to you man. I'll keep an eye out for your vids. Peace :)
I don't mean to nitpick, but in the video description, you write ''I probably could of covered more or spoken better in this.'' If you're going to travel down the path of auto-didactism (one of the best things you can ever do) then grammar and syntax is the best place to start. You may possess the intellect of Friedrich Hayek or Perry Anderson, but if you can't transmit your ideas clearly and correctly, you won't get anywhere. I'm trying not to be a dick... I'm trying to help.

@Bastiat90 No, you're absolutely right. To be honest, I never expected a number of other people to be this interested in this kind of pursuit. To continue aforementioned honesty, I've really not done too much in the way of following through with what I set out to do here when I made this video. I've been too caught up in struggling with personal issues and some intense life drama. I'd like to make a reply, written or spoken to each point and question brought up in the comments here.

500 characters is far too short for me to discuss this here... I will send you a private message if you like. I can expand on the topic and provide you with some fantastic resources to help you on your intellectual journey.

I really like what you are doing and I myself am heading down the same path my friend. Although my course of study will be different I will be taking the route of autodidactism. Something that I have recently come up with to help me is a journal. I use this to write down definitions of words that perplex me. Also the thesaurus words I use commonly I replace with other words. I have weened my self from the television. Best of luck and hope to see more! >.<

@Cockeye1987 Good to know I'm not alone out there. I've been mostly working out with a friend and trying to stave off/fight off depression, otherwise I probably would've finished redoing my area by now and cracked into studying a bit more. I do still plan on making more of these though.
