SOLS in Timor Leste

East Timor has gone through a lot from war and invasion through to independence.

The children, many of whom are deeply traumatised and in shock following their exposure to the recent violence and the dislocation from their homes and families.

Homes and schools have been damaged and many children are distressed by the loss or absence of family members...

Education has been highlighted as a serious priority as half the country's population cannot read.

Sols expended its wing to East timor to give back to the children some hope for the future.

Their mission there is to assist in the education of the children so that they have the opportunity to enhance their lives and those of the community.

Malaysiakini recently met up with the SOLS team in Timor Leste.

Languages is one of the linking or connection a person to the world it is good to know other language so that you will be able to communicate to the rest of the people around the world. Timor Leste dah banyak dapat financial support dari negara Europe dan Scandinavia.

Sekarang ni orng Malaysia yg cerdik pandai perlu fikirkan macam mana nak bantu rakyat malaysia sendiri di pendalaman terutama dlm bidang pelajaran.
