  • The unichip really does make a difference, i thought the maps in the CTR were pretty good anyway but it seems there is good benefits from a remap. Arnt the gains around 8bhp?

  • @johnjackson12 Nearer 18 bhp up at peak power, even more in the mid range.

  • @roots211 hi mate, Is this unichip vs stock. Has it made your car burn more fuel or any probs? I'm thinking of getting mine fitted at redline tuning, but is it worth getting and how much was your car pushing after fitting it.

  • @ckwan28 Yes. Changed the car about 5 years ago but from memory there were no significant changes in fuel consumption. Peak gain was just under 20BHP, more in the mid range. There were problems however, I would spend extra and go Hondata if I was doing it again.

  • @roots211 what problems did u have with the unichip ? as im thinking of getting either a unichip or hondata. cheers

  • @rossvision1 Sometimes during start up you'd think it had caught but it hadn't, then when you tried again it would start but in 'limp home' mode (reduced power, no VTEC) and the only way to clear it would be to disengage the battery or ECU fuse for a few seconds. If doing it again I'd pay more for Hondata, it's a better product giving more control, but you pay more!

  • im actually more impressed by the shifting than the unichip :O

  • @jjrosaria2 A Flat 4, V6, Straight 6, V8, V10 and V12 beats the sound of VTEC. VTEC just sounds like a poxy 4 cylinder that revs. Oh wait...

  • Nothing beats the sound of VTEC!

  • Great driving buddy very clean shifting
