Elizabeth Edwards - In Memorium【HD】

Tribute to Elizabeth Anania Edwards (July 3, 1949 -- December 7, 2010), who lived with courage and strength and died with dignity and grace.

She was a proud member of the Zama Alumni Association (Class of '67), mother, daughter and sister; attorney, breast cancer advocate, and author of two best-selling books, "Resilience" and "Saving Graces" in which she recounts her years growing up in Japan as the daughter of a decorated U.S. Navy pilot. In this video, Mary Beth, as her friends and classmates knew her, touches on her childhood experiences in Japan.

Grateful acknowledgement to the Zama Alumni Association, Zama American High School, U.S. Army Japan Public Affairs and, most especially, Rick Pemble without whom this video would not have been possible.

In 2004, Mary Beth graciously thanked me after I had written a brief profile about her in the midst of the Kerry-Edwards campaign. She enthusiastically joined the Zama Alumni Association. In one of her last public appearances, she attended the all-class reunion held in Washington, D.C. in July 2010. Accompanied by her children, Elizabeth Edwards returned to her beloved Japan for one last visit in September 2010... three months prior to her untimely death.
