I can also share how I deal with the future: I don't think about it. Nor do I think about the past. I cannot bear to think about being in pain for another hour, day, week, month, year, etc. So I don't. As much as I can I live in the moment. It's almost like a mind game, a trick, but it's been very effective for me. It's not something I started until I reached my late 30's, but was/is absolutely essential for my survival. I get thru this moment to the next, this day to tomorrow.
I'm not qualified to respond to the question having a child, except to say that you're your own best physician and the first rule of medicine is never make the patient worse. I'm glad you want to wait a few years because your situation may change for the better or the worse and answer the question for you. For example, you may have a successful fusion surgery which leaves you in little or no pain AND strong enough to carry a child.
Feel free to message me if u want to chat ,thanks, autumn
